MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Two pieces of debris, possibly belonging to the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, have arrived in Australia to be analyzed, media reported Monday.
The debris was reportedly found in Mozambique in early March and sent to Australia for examination. Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai wrote on Twitter that there was "high possibility" that the debris belonged to the disappeared Boeing 777.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau said they had received the debris and were working with Malaysia's investigative team to analyze it, the BBC reported.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, disappeared from radar screens on March 8, 2014, less than an hour after takeoff. There were 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board the Boeing 777 aircraft.
