MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In early December, the Belgian authorities put two alleged accomplices of Salah Abdeslam, the main suspect in the Paris attacks, on a wanted list. They had used forged Belgian IDs under the names of Samir Bouzid and Soufiane Kayal.
According to Belgium's La Libre news outlet, the investigation established that the suspect named Soufiane Kayal can be identified as Najim Laachraoui, born May 18, 1991, who left for Syria in February 2013.
Abdeslam himself was arrested during a police raid in Brussels on Friday and formally charged the next day with terrorist murder in connection with the November 13 attacks that left 130 people dead and over 350 others injured.
