MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia is ready to hold a meeting with US officials at any convenient location to discuss a mechanism on controlling the ceasefire in Syria, the Russian General Staff said Monday.
"The Russian side is stating its readiness to quickly finalize the proposed document, as well as to welcome a US delegation in Moscow or hold a meeting at any location convenient for the parties," Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi, head of the General Staff's Main Operational Directorate, said.
According to Rudskoi, Russian-US talks in Amman on March 18 revealed the US side's lack of readiness to hold a detailed discussion on the matter and reach an agreement.
