BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — There are no Russian citizens among the victims of the explosions in Brussels, the Russian Embassy in Belgium said Tuesday citing preliminary data.
"The Russian Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium is in contact with the Belgian law enforcement agencies. According to the preliminary data of the Belgian Interior Ministry's Crisis Center, there are no Russian citizens among the victims," the embassy said.
Two explosions hit Brussels's Zaventem airport on Tuesday at around 8:00 a.m. local time (07:00 GMT). According to various reports, the explosion killed eleven people, and injured several dozens.
Shortly after the airport blasts, explosions were also reported at the Maalbeek and Schuman metro stations in the Brussels city center.
