Computer system failure of Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) has led to the cancellation of 87 domestic flights on Tuesday in Japan, affecting 10,000 passengers, local media reported.

TOKYO (Sputnik) — According to Kyodo news agency, the defaults bagan at 8:20 am (23:20 GMT on Monday), halting passengers' registration and online booking of tickets for domestic flights. The restoration of the system was announced at 11:30 am (02:20 GMT).

ANA apologized for the inconvenience and said that it was clarifying the causes of the computer failure.

According to the media outlet, four other Japanese domestic operators, including Starflyer, Airdo, Solaseed Air and Ibex Airlines also experienced problems due to this failure, as they use the same system as the ANA.
