MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A majority of the French public believes their economy is "getting worse," and a significant section of the US and UK populations fear their national economies are slowing down, a poll conducted for Sputnik revealed on Tuesday.

US and British respondents did not seem to be particularly upbeat about their countries’ economic outlook either, according to the Populus pollster. Only 34 percent and 27 percent, respectively, noticed any progress.
Germans expressed the least concern about their economy – 58 percent said the economic situation remained unchanged, 22 percent said it was getting worse, while just 17 percent said the economy was improving.
There were 1,047 respondents in Britain, 1,004 in the United States, 1,002 in Germany and 1,499 in France.
The international public opinion project Sputnik.Polls was inaugurated in January 2015. The project organizes regular surveys in the United States and Europe on the most sensitive social and political issues.
