MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Committee for Civil Aviation Security (AVSEC) of the European Commission will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the security at the EU airports following the terrorist attacks in Brussels, Jakub Adamowicz, the EU Commission spokesman for transport and regional policy, told Sputnik Wednesday.

“An extraordinary meeting of the Committee for Civil Aviation Security (AVSEC) will be held on 31 March to discuss airport security, including publicly accessible areas,” the spokesman said.
On Tuesday, at least 31 people were killed and some 260 injured in two bomb blasts in Brussels' Zaventem airport and an explosion in the city's subway. Daesh claimed responsibility for the attacks.
