MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The University Hospital Gasthuisberg in the Belgian city of Leuven is treating 15 people wounded in the Brussels attacks, with three still remaining in the critical condition, a spokesperson for the hospital told Sputnik.
"As of midnight the are 15 patients, 3 are still in critical condition. Families of the affected are already contacted," the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson did not specify whether there were any foreign nationals among the victims of the blasts, adding that at 8:00 a.m. local time [07:00 GMT] the hospital will hold a press conference on the matter.
On Tuesday, at least 34 people were killed and some 230 injured in two bomb blasts in the Brussels Zaventem airport and an explosion at a metro station in the city. The notorious Daesh jihadist group, which is outlawed in many countries, including Russia, claimed responsibility for the attacks.
