MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The next round of talks between delegations of the Syrian government and opposition will start before mid-April, an opposition source told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"[UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan] de Mistura told me that the next round will begin before mid-April," the source said.
The latest round of talks between the Syrian government and opposition forces kicked off on March 14 in Geneva and is due to recess on Thursday.
Besides the government representatives, three opposition delegations are taking part in the negotiations: the High Negotiations Committee (HNC), which was formed in Saudi Arabia in December, a delegation formed following talks in Moscow and Cairo and a group formed after opposition talks at the Hmeimim air base in Syria.
