US, Russia to Push for Extended Humanitarian Access in Syria
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US and Russian negotiations concerning the world's most challenging problems either immediately or eventually reach positive outcomes, US Secretary of State John Kerry said during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.

"There had been some differences between the United States and Russia in these past years, but it is precisely because of discussions like those we had today that lead to a better set of outcomes and, whether it is immediate or eventual, this is the way we work to deal with the most pressing issues the world faces today," Kerry stated.

The US Secretary of State also said that the United States has a more thorough comprehension of why Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to withdraw the country’s air group from Syria.

"We [the United States] reached a better understanding of the decisions that President Putin has made of late and also of the path forward in Syria," Kerry stated on Thursday, referring to Russia pulling out its air group from the country.
