WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Barack Obama will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on March 31 in Washington, DC, White House said in a press release on Thursday.
“President Obama will host President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China for a bilateral meeting on the margins of the Nuclear Security Summit on March 31, 2016,” the release stated.
The White House said the meeting will help to advance US-China cooperation in a number of issues "of mutual interest."
The Nuclear Security Summit will take place at the Washington Convention Center from March 31 to April 1, and will be attended by more than 50 world leaders.
