MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia and Egypt have entered the final phase of work ahead of resuming air traffic between the two counties, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Friday.
"I do not know when this will happen, as experts are cooperating closely, but I think that they have practically entered the final stage of joint work," Bogdanov said.
"Currently, work is proceeding vigorously. I think that just certain technical details remain. Of course, they are important, but Russian and Egyptian representatives are cooperating at an expert level," he added.
Flights between Russia and Egypt were suspended after the downing of the Russian A321 passenger jet over the Sinai peninsula on October 31.
