The Brussels airport, hit by a terrorist attack earlier this week, will not resume passenger flights before March 29, the airport said in a statement on Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The investigators have finished their work at the airport. On Friday afternoon, the airport’s operator received permission to inspect the building to estimate losses.

"Brussels Airport Company is currently studying a temporary solution to partially resume passenger flights, taking into account the new security measures that apply at Belgian airports, decided by the federal government. Passenger flights are not expected to resume before Tuesday 29 March 201," the statement reads.

On Tuesday, two suicide blasts hit the Brussels' Zaventem international airport and a further explosion shook the Maelbeek metro station, killing at least 31 people and injuring over 300. Daesh terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
