A small plane crashed at an airport in Osaka Prefecture earlier in the day, killing four people on board, local media reported.

TOKYO (Sputnik) — According to the NHK broadcaster, citing the transport ministry, the crash of the Mooney M20C plane, flying from Kobe airport, occurred during its landing.

None of the people on the ground were injured following the plane crash, according to a local fire department spokesman.

Local authorities are investigating the causes of the crash.
