MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Embassy in Montenegro is clarifying the circumstances surrounding the arrest of a group of Russian citizens in the country, and has requested information from the police, a spokesperson for the diplomatic mission said Saturday.
"We are now clarifying the issue, have requested information from Montenegrin police. The detainees have already been released, they have not been charged," the spokesperson told RIA Novosti.
Earlier in the day, the local RTCG broadcaster reported Montenegrin police had questioned more than 50 Russian citizens detained in a raid against organized crime.
