MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European Union and the Unites States’ readiness to discuss counterterrorism efforts with Russia is a serious step, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"The readiness to discuss this, which was not seen one or two years ago, is a very serious step forward," Peskov said on the TV Tsentr television channel in a show to be aired Saturday.
Asked whether there was a possibility of creating an anti-terrorism alliance with the United States and other Western countries following this week’s visit of US State Secretary to Moscow, Peskov said that "nobody was having such illusions."
