TOKYO (Sputnik) — The decision whether to resume flights will be taken on April 11 "after the re-examination of the situation in the region," the Kyodo news agency reported, citing sources in the company. A total of 39 flights were cancelled.
Two suicide blasts hit the departures hall of Brussels international airport on Tuesday and an explosion shook a subway carriage in Maelbeek station, close to the EU institutions, killing 31 people, including three attackers, and injuring over 300. Daesh, outlawed in many countries including Russia and the United States, claimed responsibility for the attacks.
On Sunday, the Brussels Airport said its reopening following the attacks had not been scheduled, with the date still far off.
