MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On March 22, two suicide bombings took place at the Brussels Airport departure hall in the northeastern municipality of Zaventem and another explosion occurred at the Maelbeek station near EU institutions.
“Four patients died in hospitals. Medics did all they could. The total number of victims is 35,” de Block said on her Twitter account.
According to previous reports, 28 people and three suicide bombers were killed in the terrorist attacks.
There were UK, Italian, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Swedish and US citizens among the attacks victims. Some 340 people were injured in the blasts.
The Daesh extremist group, outlawed in many countries including Russia and the United States, has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
