MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) said on Tuesday that it had requested the US company Boeing to provide technical documentation on the FlyDubai passenger plane that crashed recently in Russia in order to assess the performance of the aircraft’s systems.
“The Boeing company has been requested to provide the technical documentation necessary for an assessment of the performance of the aircraft's systems, as well as information on all similar scenarios involving Boeing aircraft,” a statement on the IAC’s website reads.
On March 19, a Flydubai Boeing 737-800 plane with 55 passengers and 7 crew members on board crashed while attempting to land at an airport in southern Russia. The plane was flying to Rostov-on-Don from Dubai. Nobody survived the crash, which occurred during conditions of poor visibility.
