MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Anti-air defense units from Russia’s Western Military District have been put on alert for the exercises in the Leningrad Region. The drills will include the launch of S-300 and S-400 missiles.
“Today, anti-air defense units from the Western Military District were put on high combat readiness alert in line with the beginning of scheduled bilateral exercises…During the exercises, S-300, S-400 Triumf, and Pantsir-S missile complexes together with modern radar stations with various radius calibrations will complete tasks of discovering, escorting, and the tactical destruction of conditional enemy aircraft at their combat stations,” Igor Muginov said in a statement.
