WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — A campaign manager of Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has been charged by Florida police with misdemeanor and battery after he allegedly forcefully grabbed a reporter, local media reported on Tuesday citing police.
"Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump campaign manager, was charged this morning with misdemeanor battery after allegations of forcefully grabbing a reporter at a Jupiter news conference, town police confirmed this morning," the Palm Beach Post reported.
The newspaper reported that Lewandowski turned himself in to Jupiter, Florida police early this morning and said that surveillance footage captured at Trump National also corroborated the reporter’s allegations.
