MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Japan in February stood at 3.3 percent, according to the statistical data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

According to the survey conducted by the Dailyfx.com web portal, experts' forecasts for February stood at January's levels of 3.2 percent.

Meanwhile, the absolute number of unemployed people in the country amounted to 2.13 million people, a 5.8-percent decrease compared to the previous year.

As many as 63.5 million of Japanese citizens are employed, which is 290,000 people more compared to 2015.
