Lithuania Wants to Deport Russian Journalists Over 'Security Threat'
VILNIUS (Sputnik) The global fight against terrorism and the massive refugee crisis will raise the Western states’ willingness to cooperate with Moscow, which may negatively affect Vilnius, the Lithuanian State Security Department said Wednesday in a report.

"[The growing threat of terrorism and the migration crisis in Europe] are likely to have negative consequences for Lithuania, as this will lead to a reduction in the attention paid to the security situation in Eastern Europe and an increased readiness to cooperate with Russia," the Annual Threat Assessment 2015 report reads.

The turbulent economic situation in the world has had a minimal negative effect on the work of Russia’s intelligence and security services, it was claimed in the report.

In late February, Russian Ambassador to Lithuania Alexander Udaltsov said both economic and political relations between Moscow and Vilnius had stalled, with the countries' bilateral trade having fallen by 40 percent over the last year.
