"The Russian aircraft have delivered 23 night-time airstrikes against 54 terrorist targets, killing over 60 militants and destroying four command posts, six artillery pieces, three ammo depots, two fuel depots, 18 all-terrain vehicles, and an anti-aircraft gun," Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with forces loyal to President Bashar Assad's government fighting numerous opposition factions and extremist groups.
On February 22, Russia and the United States reached an agreement on a ceasefire in Syria, which took effect on February 27.
Russia had conducted an aerial campaign against terrorists in Syria since September 30, 2015 at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
