WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Erdogan, along with about 50 other world leaders, is in Washington, DC attending the fourth Nuclear Security Summit hosted by US President Barack Obama.
"The vice president reiterated that the United States considers the PKK a designated foreign terrorist organization, and the two leaders pledged to deepen cooperation in the fight against all forms of terrorism, including the PKK," the readout stated on Thursday.
Biden and Erdogan also discussed ways to deepen cooperation in the war against the Islamic State terror group, also known as Daesh, the readout noted.
In addition, the two leaders expressed support for efforts to reach a negotiated end to the civil war in Syria.
