MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian center for Syrian reconciliation at the Hmeymim airbase has delivered 4.4 metric tons of humanitarian aid to the northern Syrian province of Aleppo for the first time, the Russian Defense Ministry said Thursday.
"For the first time, humanitarian aid has been delivered to the residents of the Aleppo province," the ministry said in daily bulletin, adding that some 4.4 tonnes of food supplies reached the settlements of Tell Blat and Kabra.
In addition, some 4.5 tonnes of humanitarian cargo have been delivered to six settlements in the Latakia province.
