ANKARA (Sputnik) — Six police officers were killed in Thursday's explosion in the Turkish city of Diyarbakir, local media reported.

Another 23 people sustained injuries, according to local broadcaster NTV. Three police officers are reportedly in serious condition.

According to Turkey's Hurriyet newspaper, the explosion took place as a police vehicle was passing the area. At least seven people, including police officers and civilians, were reportedly injured in the blast
