Catching the tiny dog was not as easy as one may think. Two police officers chased the little animal for five minutes on foot and finally encircled it. While one of them was distracting the Chihuahua with his jacket, his colleague “arrested” it.

The officers named the dog Ponch after the CHP Officer Frank Poncherello in the TV series "CHiPs.”
