MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Savchenko has received a 22-year prison sentence after being convicted in a Russian court of directing artillery that killed Russian journalists Igor Kornelyuk and Anton Voloshin in eastern Ukraine on June 17, 2014.
"Savchenko has been sentenced. We maintain that the issue of her being considered guilty is closed. Now she should serve her prison term for the crime she committed," Ryabkov told RIA Novosti.
"Despite widespread speculation regarding some exchanges and schemes that could lead to her being freed, I can tell you that it is not a topic of our discussion with the United States," he said.
