MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The talks on the convention on fight against biological and chemical terrorism, proposed by Russia, could take up to two years, Russia's Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
"As the international practice shows, even under the most favorable scenario, the development, and then the coming into force of such an agreement will take time," Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Mikhail Ulyanov said.
"The convention aims to introduce a more solid legal basis for the long-term fight against terrorism — chemical and biological," Ulyanov said.
