Catch Me if You Can: 'Spider-Drone' Entangles UAVs With Net

Don't fly here! A Dutch company has engineered a Dronecatcher which hunts other UAVs. The device spews a net which not only entangles the "prey" but also carefully grounds it with a parachute.

But the Dutch were not the pioneers in the field of drone-catching. Following the incident with a UAV which landed on the PM's office without any challenge, Japanese police developed their own dronecatcher.

Their Dutch colleagues attempted to train eagles to intercept drones, which was branded as a cruel and dangerous method — the birds could sustain severe injuries when attacking the plastic and metal frames of the drones.

In its turn, a British company designed a net-launching anti-drone bazooka.
