MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The resolution of the most pressing international issues such as the Syrian conflict and the implementation of the Minsk accords is impossible without Russia, a German parliamentarian from Die Linke party said Friday.
"Minsk agreement is only possible together with Russia, as well as the resolution of the conflict in Syria," Wolfgang Gehrcke told reporters during his Moscow visit.

The left-wing politician noted that Russia would play an important role as the next round of intra-Syria talks expected to resume on around April 11-13.
"Russia has a very constructive position on the Middle East, and I think that Russia will play a very important role in Syria talks in Geneva that start next week," Gerhrcke said.
Die Linke is scheduled to convene a roundtable in the German parliament on May 9 to examine what parts of the Minsk agreements on Ukrainian reconciliation, worked out in 2015 by Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine, have been implemented.
