According to TV channel report, a camerawoman for the RT’s UK broadcaster, Hulya Sen, sustained an injury to her leg during a violent protest against a controversial labor code reform in the French capital.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) A camerawoman for the RT’s UK broadcaster, Hulya Sen, sustained an injury to her leg during a violent protest against a controversial labor code reform in the French capital, the TV channel reported Saturday.

"She was filming and she says some kind of explosive device was thrown and it exploded near her foot and she has a bleeding leg," RT’s Anastasia Churkina reported from Paris.

Another journalist, RT France correspondent Kyrill Kotikov-Convenant, who was live-feeding the demonstration through Periscope, got caught up in the smoke as police fired tear gas, the news outlet said.

According to Twitter users, several protesters may have been arrested.

Earlier in the day, nationwide rallies against a bill that would loosen labor regulations, giving employers more scope to fire and hire employees, restrict union rights and increase the 35-hour week were staged in France.

On March 24, RT's reporter Jonathan Moadab was caught in clashes and tear gas in Paris as people were protesting against the unpopular labor legislation proposed by the government.
