NASA: US Dragon Cargo Ship Successfully Docks With Int’l Space Station
14:46 GMT 10.04.2016 (Updated: 14:50 GMT 10.04.2016) US Dragon cargo ship successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS), the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said Sunday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Dragon spacecraft is carrying nearly 7,000 pounds of supplies for the space station crew and for experiments being conducted aboard the orbiting laboratory.
The space freighter was launched on Friday from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, atop the private SpaceX company's own Falcon 9 rocket.
It was eighth California-based aerospace manufacturer's cargo mission to the ISS and the first flight of Dragon to the space station since last June, when the Falcon 9 rocket exploded three minutes after it had been launched.
