MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lavrov said that France and Germany, "but mainly Washington," have decisive influence on "how the government is currently being formed," and said he hopes the West "assures that is what they’re doing."
"When they put forward various conditions and organize possible scenarios on the future Ukrainian government, we constantly remind them to inform candidates for prime minister and members of the new cabinet that they must first and foremost confirm their adherence to the Minsk agreements," Lavrov said during a joint press conference with Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter.
On Sunday, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced his resignation.
"We'll see how their efforts end," Lavrov added.
