GENEVA (Sputnik) — According to the document, de Mistura has just briefed the UN Security Council on the implementation of the Security Council resolution 2268 by a video-conference call from Tehran where he met with Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs in Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
"As announced previously, the Special Envoy will be returning to Geneva tomorrow, Wednesday 13 April, for the resumption of the intra-Syrian talks. In this regard he will be meeting with the High Negotiations Committee delegation in the afternoon of the same day," de Mistura's office said in a statement.
