MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Saturday, Gazprom Board of Directors Chairman Viktor Zubkov said that the company expects to maintain growing volumes of exported gas. The company also expects to retain its current level of output, he added.
"I think that we will certainly not be below last year's level. I will carefully say that it will not go below 160 billion cubic meters," Medvedev told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
Gazprom's losses from declining gas prices have been partially offset by increasing output, Medvedev said, noting that further price declines are not expected.
In 2015, Gazprom supplied 158.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe, while its total export to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has increased by 28 percent in the first quarter of 2016, according to the company.
