WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier Wednesday, former US Senator Bob Graham said the US president would make a decision about declassifying the 28 pages within the next two months, according to US media reports.
"The Director of National Intelligence has indicated that they are hopeful they will be able to complete the process of the review of these 28 pages before the end of President Obama’s tenure in office," Earnest stated during a press briefing.
Graham, who is former US Senate Intelligence Committee chairman and a co-author of the September 11 report, has stated that the 28 pages indicate involvement by the government of Saudi Arabia in the attacks.
Earnest noted, however, he could not confirm a timeline for when the pages will be declassified.
The report concerns US intelligence activities during and after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Then-US President George W. Bush redacted a chapter from the report, which allegedly deals with the financing of the attacks.
