“This morning I met again with the representatives from the People’s Front and we are still ready today to hear the candidacy of the prime minister and the ministers of his cabinet within our factions…After that the factions will make a decision, and already during the evening session the coalition factions will officially nominate the candidacy of Volodymyr Groysman for the post of prime minister, which will then be passed to the president for review,” Lutsenko was quoted on his party’s Facebook page as saying.
The Ukraine political crisis escalated in February, after the parliamentary faction aligned to Ukraine's president – the Petro Poroshenko Bloc – described the cabinet’s work in 2015 as unsatisfactory. The following day, Yatsenyuk’s government survived a no-confidence vote, which forced various factions to leave the ruling parliamentary coalition.
