MOSCOW (Sputnik) — There have been incidents of shelling of convoys with humanitarian aid in war-torn Syria, which are dealt with by a special task force charged with monitoring the ceasefire, UN's Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said Thursday.
"I have heard of similar incidents, and frankly that's what the task force is used for," de Mistura said following the meeting of the Humanitarian Access Task Force of the International Syria Support Group, when asked about the shelling of convoys sent to the hard-to-reach Syrian city of Duma.
He added that humanitarian convoys had had the same problems in other Syrian cities, which were successfully resolved by the task force.
