MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Pressure has been mounting on Jacqueline Galant in parliament over allegations of insufficient security at Belgian airports prior to the March 22 terror attacks, Belgian public broadcaster RTBF said.
Galant informed the prime minister about her decision to quit on Thursday. She is due to officially announce her resignation at a press conference at 11:30 a.m. local time (09:30 GMT).
This comes less than a month after Brussels Airport was struck by a bomb explosion that killed 17 people, including two attackers who were linked to last year's Paris massacre.
