GENEVA (Sputnik) – By the next round of the talks, a unified opposition delegation might be formed, a source at the talks told Sputnik earlier in the day. It would include five members of the High Negotiations Committee (HNC), one delegate from the Moscow group of Syrian opposition, one delegate from the Cairo platform, one from Astana group, and one from the Hmeimim group. Moreover, it might include several representatives of civil society and Syrian women.
"We have heard that this issue is being discussed. Today, there are over 200 Syrians in Geneva, most of them are interested in this issue. Representatives of the Syrian regime are also here," Qasem Khatib said.
"With regard to this conversation, it is not official. You heard about it, I've heard. But being in the Cairo delegation, I have not officially heard anything from Mr. de Mistura, or in the UN building, I heard it on the sidelines, I'm not sure [about this]," he added.
