Trump: Classified Part of 9/11 Report Shows ‘Very Profound’ Saudi Role
14:28 GMT 19.04.2016 (Updated: 10:53 GMT 06.08.2022) The remaining pages in the US report on the September 11, 2011 attacks will reveal a major role of Saudi Arabia in the assault on the World Trade Center, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said on Tuesday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The final chapter of the 9/11 report consisting of 28 pages reportedly claims that a Saudi diplomat at a consulate in the US state of California directly aided at least two of the 19 hijackers when they arrived in the United States.
“I think I know what it’s going to say,” Trump told Fox News. “It’s going to be very profound, having to do with Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia’s role on the World Trade Center and the attack.”
Trump added that the public should have been seen the report a long time ago.
“You’re going to see some very revealing things released in those papers,” the billionaire assured.
Members of Congress are pressing for the final chapter to be declassified. The timing is especially sensitive, with President Barack Obama slated to leave the United States on Tuesday afternoon for a visit to Saudi Arabia.
