During the parade celebrating the city’s 181st birthday, a group of seven representatives of the Tactical Actions Subunit (SUAT) wearing full intervention equipment started a choreographed dance to the delight of the gathered crowd.
The officers synchronized their funky moves to the theme from “Scream,” the popular Michael Jackson hit of the 90s. They also danced to C&C Music Factory’s 1990 song “Everybody Dance Now” and did the “Robocop” dance moves while confetti was showered on them by the onlookers.
The video was uploaded to Facebook by the official Peruvian National Police where it instantly trended across the internet.
After the video was posted online a police spokesman commented, “On this occasion we want to parade in a special manner for the 181st anniversary of our beautiful city of Chiclayo. Happy anniversary!”
It is worth noting that the official account of the Peruvian National Police on Facebook has nearly 208,000 subscribers.
