TBILISI (Sputnik) – Strong winds have caused damage to residential buildings and vehicles in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, local emergencies authorities report.
"There has been no information on casualties, but instances of damage to cars and residential buildings and houses have been registered," an emergencies representative told RIA Novosti.
Trees were blown over in Tbilisi in the early hours of Friday, the roofs of some single-story buildings were demolished and some power lines were reportedly damaged.
Georgia’s capital was hit by strong winds last weekend as well, with trees having been blown over onto cars in the city center.
