MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Oil prices climbed Friday after the US dollar index dipped by 0.07 percent to 94.59 points, according to market values.
As of Friday morning, prices of crude oil Brent futures rose 1.48 percent to $45.19 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil futures gained 1.53 percent, trading at $43.84 per barrel.
The global oil market remains volatile after the OPEC cartel of the world's largest oil producers failed earlier this week to agree a crude output cap amid the ongoing production glut.
