MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Italian delegation at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in June will use the opportunity to discuss Rome’s economic and political ties with Moscow, the Italian ambassador to Russia said Friday.
As an honorary guest, Italy will be represented at the forum by a team of officials and business executives led by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
"The St. Petersburg forum is a very important event, probably the most important one in Russia…It will present us with an opportunity to discuss the current state of our economic and political relations," Ambassador Cesare Ragaglini told RIA Novosti.
The SPIEF is an international economics and business event, which attracts politicians, entrepreneurs, scientists and media to discuss the most significant issues for Russia and the global community. The next SPIEF is scheduled for June 16-18.
