MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian servicemen have discovered a large terrorist arms depot with more than 12,000 explosive devices on the outskirts of the Syrian city of Tadmur in the Homs Governorate, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj.-Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Friday.
“Russian sappers removed over 12,000 explosive devices from a hidden terrorist arms depot with large-caliber shells, artillery, as well as anti-tank and anti-personnel mines,” Konashenkov told journalists.
He said this discovery was one of the largest found belonging to the Daesh, which is prohibited in numerous countries including the United States and Russia, adding that depot held explosives that were used for terrorist acts not only in Homs, but throughout Syria.
