MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The North Korean military apparently fired a ballistic missile from a submarine off the country's east coast on Saturday, the South Korean military said.
The launch took place on at 09:30 GMT, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said, as quoted by Yonhap news agency.
No other details were immediately available.
According to the Japanese media, citing the country's defense ministry, several missiles might have been launched from North Korea toward the Sea of Japan on Saturday afternoon.
