Thousands of Hospitality Workers to Go on Strike for Pay Increase in Oslo
13:48 GMT 23.04.2016 (Updated: 14:10 GMT 23.04.2016) Almost 3,500 members of Norway’s United Federation of Trade Unions (Fellesforbundet) will go on strike Sunday to demand pay increase, the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions said Saturday in a statement.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The strike will affect the work of 350 restaurants and hotels operating in Norway, including the country’s largest chain of Thon Hotels, as well as Raddisson Blu Plaza and Clarion Hotel Royal Christiania.
Close to 3,500 members of Fellesforbundet will go on strike beginning at 08.00 [am local time, 06:00 GMT] Sunday, the statement reads.
